Jeanne Gavish's Blog: February 2011

Social Media and Internet Marketing

If the topic was Social Media, Internet Marketing, or anything relevant about technology, the ballrooms were packed to overflow at Keller Williams Family Reunion Conference in Anaheim CA last week.  Just a year ago the same speakers were speaking to small crowds in break out sessions; this year they dominated the Conference.

I attending my first session on blogging just a year ago and as a result became a Rainmaker with Active Rain.  I consider myself a baby on this media, and a true novice at using videos and photos in my blog.  This past week of attending the sessions, I realized and appreciate just how far I have come and the comfort level I have with this medium.  I marveled at the fact that I could follow the language that baffled me a year ago and empathized with the newbies who were struggling with the idea of blogging, adwords, pay per click internet ads, youtube, tweeting and all the social media tips.

I spent the past year attending every social media class, course, and webinar available at Florida Realtors Conference, NAR Conference, and KW events and believe I am ready to tackle this electronic world.  I signed up for Ben Kinney's "Internet Marketing Specialist Designation" and am hoping it will catapult me into cyberspace prominance.  To infinity and beyond!
